The first in a series of tutorials for Macromedia / Adobe Fireworks. I’m still using Fireworks 8 but these examples can be followed in any version up to and including CS3. The basic principals can be applied to pretty much any graphics package.
It is expected that you have some basic skills with the pen tool and gradient fills.

A selection of excellent tutorials for Adobe Illustrator from simple pen tool basics to those special little polishing tricks to finish off your work. Many of these principles can also be applied to other graphics packages such as Freehand, Fireworks and Inkscape.

If you need to resize all images on upload in Wordpress to a set size, as a prevention to large images breaking the design, use this hack. I’ve collated and adapted some code, from an original post on the Wordpress Mu forums, to work on Wordpress 2.2.
