Privacy Policy

Summary

In line with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) I explain how I treat any information you give me. I’ve tried to keep the wording in this policy easy to read and understand. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.

What information I collect and why

If you contact me by email

The email will contain your name and email address. The email message may contain other personal information, if you’ve provided it. I use this information to respond to your enquiry. I keep a copy of these emails, in my email platform.

If you contact me via a form on my website

The form will send an email to me, as detailed above. I may store a copy of the emails in my website content management system (CMS), as well as in my email platform.

If you contact me through social media

The message will contain your name (if you’ve provided it) and social media username. The message may contain other personal information, if you’ve provided it. I use this information to respond to your enquiry. This information is stored in the social media platform which will have its own data protection policies that you would have already agreed to.

If you opt-in to receive my newsletter

I will ask for your name and email address, so I can personalise the newsletter and send it to you. I store your information in my customer relationship manager (CRM) platform. You can unsubscribe at anytime using the link in each newsletter email.

If you download any free resources from my website

I will ask for your name and email address in return for the free download. Once you’ve received your free download, I may send you a series of emails to introduce my products and services. I store your information in my customer relationship manager (CRM) platform. You can unsubscribe at anytime using the link in each email.

If you enter into business with me

If you use my products or services, whether paid for or provided pro-bono, I will ask for your name, address, phone number and email address. I use this information to do business with you, including sending invoices and receipts. I also keep a record of what you purchased from me and when. I store this information in my accounting software.

If you purchase digital products — such as training courses, ebooks, icon sets, fonts, and design templates — a copy of the transaction will be stored in the platform that delivered that product.

I may also send occasional emails notifying you of important updates, upgrades and other relevant products and services that I offer. You can unsubscribe at anytime using the link in each email.

Who has access to your information

I will not share your information with anyone outside of my organisation, unless required to do so by law.

For the most part it’s just me. However, I might sometimes hire sub-contractors to help with some of my business activities. They will only access your information if there is a business need within the task they are working on. They will be working as part my organisation and bound by strict confidentiality / non-disclosure agreements.

How I keep your information private

Your information is stored on secure cloud-based services. These services are secured by password-protection and, where available, two-factor authentication. To access your information I use devices protected by password, fingerprint or facial recognition.
